Role Overview
As a dedicated Youth Support Worker, you will be working closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at our independent high school in Wollongong.
This position involves delivering culturally appropriate support and engagement to our students. You will assist in implementing teaching strategies that foster leadership and provide opportunities for further study or employment.
* Your ability to network and understand community development issues will be invaluable in this role.
* You will be responsible for building supportive relationships with students and their families through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* An understanding of First Nations children and young people's needs is essential, as well as knowledge of adolescent development, drug use, and behaviour.
