Are you a seasoned Backend Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a technically strong and forward-thinking individual to join our team and help shape the future of our engineering practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about building scalable, high-quality systems.
What You’ll Do
* Lead backend development efforts across the full software lifecycle—from design to production support.
* Develop and test robust applications and integrations using Java (Spring or Quarkus), REST APIs, and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
* Break down complex use cases into actionable development tasks and estimate effort based on detailed designs.
* Guide and mentor Associate and Mid-level Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
* Drive process improvements and advocate for best practices in software development.
* Manage and deliver development projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Design.
* Conduct code reviews, implement automated testing frameworks, and maintain thorough documentation.
* React to production incidents within SLAs and provide well-reasoned technical solutions.
What You Bring
* Strong proficiency inJava, including advanced features (Streams, Lambdas, Generics, etc.) and design patterns.
* Experience withRESTful APIdesign and integration.
* Solid understanding ofrelational databases(Oracle, PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
* Hands-on experience withSpringorQuarkus,Hibernate/JPA, andMaven.
* Familiarity withGitLab pipelinesor similar CI/CD tools.
* Exposure toKubernetesandDockeris a plus.
* Experience usingJirafor task management and dashboard creation.
* Comfortable working inUNIXenvironments and navigating command-line tools.
* Passion for mentoring and growing engineering talent.
* A mindset focused on customer satisfaction and delivering business value.
