We are seeking multiple Appian Developers in Melbourne to design, develop, and deliver scalable, memory-efficient enterprise solutions on the Appian platform. The role demands strong integration expertise, rigorous testing strategy definition, and advanced database optimisation skills.
Candidates must be living in Melbourne or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop scalable, memory-efficient, and user-centric Appian applications.
* Apply advanced Appian Design Patterns to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Analyse Appian architecture and logs for effective development and troubleshooting.
* Define and implement robust integration patterns, including inbound, outbound, and exception handling.
* Establish and drive comprehensive application testing strategies.
* Track, document, and manage features, designs, and work items using JIRA and Confluence.
* Decompose solutions into modules and components to enable parallel delivery across the team.
* Develop and optimise complex stored procedures, views, and database structures.
* Proactively analyse, troubleshoot, enhance, and deliver solutions with minimal dependency on others.
Key Skills & Experience:
Appian & Architecture
* Appian Level 3 / Architect certified (or equivalent experience).
* Strong knowledge of Appian design patterns, architecture, performance, and logging.
Database & Integration
* Solid experience with MySQL/MariaDB and complex database optimisation.
* Strong API and integration experience (inbound, outbound, exception handling).
Quality Assurance & Tools
* Experience defining test strategies and automated testing (FitNesse)
* Familiarity with Splunk, JIRA, and Confluence.
Methodology & Certifications
* SAFe Foundation / Leading SAFe preferred.
* Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins) - nice to have
* Able to work independently and deliver end-to-end solutions.
