Job Title: Support Worker
We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team as a Support Worker. This role involves providing individualized one-on-one support and assistance to aid disadvantaged people with low-level language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Providing information, advice, and referrals to services the person needs when appropriate
* Assisting individuals with their daily activities, education, and employment goals
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum Certificate III in youth work, community development/welfare, human services or related discipline or equivalent level experience in social and community sector
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in undertaking the range of activities required
* Effective time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and commitments
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders including young people from diverse backgrounds
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
