Authority:
1. To request parts from the Stores for the Assembly, Service & Repair and Rental Areas.
Job Duties: The job duties of a general hand vary. They may include;
2. Cleaning and preparing a job
3. Loading and delivering materials
4. Using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
5. Receiving in stock & equipment
6. Cycle counts for store inventory
7. Assisting with store duties (as applicable)
8. Assisting with General operational task’s or as required within NOV
9. To keep the company’s tools and toolbox in good order, reporting any losses or breakages to the Supervisor and to keep it locked when not in use.
10. To work in other departments as directed by the QA & Operations Supervisor
11. Daily inspections and sign off on forklift checks, crane checks etc.
12. All tasks to be completed in a safe / timely manner in respect with our NOV HSE management system & local Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare regulations
Requirements:
13. Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision;
14. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, general correspondence and apply the knowledge of a reasonable person to carry out instructions;
15. Ability to write simple correspondence;
16. Ability to present information verbally in one-on-one situation and small groups;
17. Basic numeracy skills, having the ability to use these skills with weight, volume and distance measurements;
18. Basic Computer skills
19. Developing knowledge of workshop procedures;
20. Developing knowledge of the use and maintenance of workshop equipment
21. General knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare regulations
22. Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
Quality Assurance:
23. To produce goods to a high standard of quality and in accordance with the relevant quality assurance procedures/departmental works instructions.
24. To ensure that the goods being produced are right first time and fit for the purpose intended prior to passing to the QC Department for inspection.
25. To recommend new ideas for improving the quality of products and services.
Training:
26. To actively participate in training procedures to achieve the highest quality the employee is capable of.
27. To actively train workshop individuals.
HSE:
28. To be responsible for the upkeep of the equipment used.
29. To wear overalls and safety boots/shoes at all times, plus safety glasses, ear protection during hazardous operations.
30. To report any safety hazards to the Safety Officer.
31. To actively participate in regular Safety Meetings.
