Georges River Council is seeking a proactive and safety-focused Operations Leader – Service Delivery to oversee daily operations of our maintenance crew and volunteer teams in Mortdale, New South Wales.
About the Role
In this hands‐on role, you will ensure timely, high‐quality service delivery aligned with Council standards, manage resources and equipment, and uphold WHS protocols. You will mentor staff, liaise with the community, and contribute to continuous improvement in operational planning. You will oversee daily operations, prioritise tasks, and ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

* Salary from $70,180.26 to $81,309.63 per annum plus 12% superannuation

The successful candidate will have
* Class C driver's licence
* Construction induction card (White Card)
* First aid certificate or willingness to obtain
* Experience motivating and leading a maintenance crew
* Experience providing maintenance services and accountability for work methods, standards and outcomes
* Capacity to plan, prioritise and organise daily work schedules
* Experience operating and maintaining plant and equipment used in cleansing, civil construction, and trade maintenance
* Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles
* Demonstrated commitment to customer service
* Appropriate written and oral communication skills
