Supply Chain Manager Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a Supply Chain professional who wants to take on leadership responsibilities in the ANZ region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective warehousing and logistics operations across Australia and New Zealand.
The Supply Chain Manager will report into the APAC Logistics leadership team and manage all 3PL, freight forwarding, and transportation partners. This includes overseeing inventory accuracy, stock reconciliation, and monthly/annual stock takes. The role also involves coordinating inbound and outbound freight, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Manage performance and compliance of 3PL and transport providers across AU & NZ
* Oversee inventory accuracy, stock reconciliation, and monthly/annual stock takes
* Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, ensuring timely and quality delivery
* Lead warehouse invoice verification, PO receipt validation, and GIT reporting
* Collaborate with sales and customer service teams on availability and fulfilment
* Ensure all logistics activities comply with Australian import/export regulations
* Drive operational improvement through data, systems, and process review
* Manage procurement processes including RFQs and logistics tenders
* Support returns, refurbishment, and scrapping processes with the Service team
* Lead local logistics meetings and interface with global logistics counterparts
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing inventory control, warehouse performance, and optimising stock movement and working capital. They will also be skilled in managing freight forwarders, SLAs, tenders, and ensuring compliance with local customs and regulatory frameworks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Commercial Acumen & Business Partnering: Proven ability to manage third-party relationships and influence internal stakeholders to align operations with customer needs.
* Inventory & Stock Flow Oversight: Strong experience managing inventory control, warehouse performance, and optimising stock movement and working capital.
* Transport & Supply Chain Management: Skilled in managing freight forwarders, SLAs, tenders, and ensuring compliance with local customs and regulatory frameworks.
* Reporting & Compliance Expertise: Confident in overseeing PO validation, invoice reconciliation, and contributing to audits, stocktake processes, and risk mitigation.
* Analytical & System Capability: Advanced understanding of ERP/logistics systems (ideally JD Edwards), data-driven approach to logistics performance, and continuous improvement.
