You will be responsible for managing your own section, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish, mentoring junior staff, and supporting smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-established, high-volume kitchen where creativity, teamwork, and professionalism are celebrated.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook food to the highest standard, following recipes and presentation guidelinesRun your designated section with confidence during serviceMaintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked workstation (mise en place)Train, mentor, and support junior chefs and kitchen handsCollaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and cost controlUphold food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards (HACCP compliant)Monitor stock levels, reduce wastage, and ensure efficient use of ingredientsMaintain and monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance needsWhat We're Looking ForCertificate IV in Commercial Cookery OR at least 3 years' experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulationsExcellent knife skills and knowledge of different cooking techniquesCalm under pressure and capable of delivering quality at volumeGood communication, leadership, and teamwork skillsPositive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to excellenceValid Australian work rights are required for this positionWhy Join The Lagoon?
