Due to increased workload and a growing project pipeline, they are looking for a Rust-first Technical Lead to join and grow with them. Our client is focused on building a platform that will utilise AI-driven insights to deliver accessible healthcare to everyone.
The Role
You'll provide hands-on technical leadership to a high-performing team, building scalable microservices, ML deployment solutions, and event-driven systems on Kubernetes. You'll contribute to code quality through reviews and testing, mentor engineers, and drive ongoing improvements across the platform.
Your Profile
To be a successful candidate in this role, you will require:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
* 8+ years of software engineering experience using languages such as Rust, C/C++, C#, or Java
* 3+ years in a technical leadership role
* Experience in full-stack development, including JavaScript or TypeScript
* Strong experience designing and building APIs (REST, WebSockets, GraphQL)
* Solid understanding of event-driven and distributed architectures
* Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
* Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
* Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills
* Self-driven learner with a track record of adopting new technologies
