About the Role
Hipac Healthcare is seeking a skilled Fitter / Machinist to join our Production team in Goulburn.
This is a hands-on role where you will work across machining, fabrication, welding and workshop maintenance, supporting the production of specialised healthcare equipment used across Australia.
You will also work with our engineering and R&D teams to manufacture prototype components and custom fabricated items.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Operating workshop machinery including lathes, mills and fabrication equipment
* Machining and fabricating components from engineering drawings
* Performing welding and assembly tasks
* Supporting prototype builds and custom fabrication
* Inspecting incoming components and materials
* Performing routine workshop and machinery maintenance
* Maintaining a safe and organised workshop
What You’ll Bring
Essential
* Trade qualification in Fitting, Machining, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Experience operating machining and fabrication equipment
* Welding experience
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
* Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
* Exposure to prototype or custom fabrication work
* Experience maintaining workshop equipment
