About the Role
You will be responsible for the provision of dental services to patients, including but not limited to emergency treatments, general examinations and preventative treatments, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments and design/management of prosthodontics. In this role you will liaise with the senior dental officer (depending on clinic size), medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers where needed to provide comprehensive dental care. You will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining the good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures, ensuring patients are dentally fit for deployment.
This is a part time role working 1x day per week on Wednesdays.
Qualifications
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 2 years full-time post graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
* Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
