About the Role:
Lead and guide design efforts, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, Australian Standards, and relevant international standards. Key duties include:
* Ensure product and equipment designs meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards
* Create and review fabrication drawings tailored to workshop capabilities
* Collaborate with sales and clients to ensure solutions meet project requirements
* Prepare and peer review BOMs, ITPs, DXFs for in-house laser cutting
* Conduct engineering calculations and design validation
* Inspect final products before dispatch to confirm compliance
* Provide technical guidance and leadership to the design team
* Work with Autodesk Inventor for 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawing production
About You:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 3 years experienced in mechanical design/engineering with a strong engineering and manufacturing background
* Solid understanding of Australian Standards and technical specifications
* Strong CAD modelling and drawing skills, preferably with Autodesk Inventor
* Ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges
* Innovative, detail-oriented, and practical problem-solving mindset
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
* Self-starter attitude with ability to work independently
