Care Companions NT is seeking a calm, patient and reliable Support Worker to assist an NDIS participant with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 3) in Berrimah, NT.
The role involves supporting daily routines, community activities, and emotional regulation, while applying positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies when needed .
This participant is supported under a 2:1 staffing arrangement, meaning two support workers will be present during shifts to ensure safe and effective support.
Full instructions on the participant’s care plan, behavioural triggers, and proven de-escalation techniques will be provided before commencing shifts.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher)
* Nursing students or graduates welcome to apply
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Valid Driver’s Licence
Experience supporting autism or behaviours of concern is highly desirable.
