About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Trainee Accountant to join our high performing Finance department. This Part-Time (32hr/wk) opportunity will work across multiple business units providing accounting support within the Finance department. Key tasks and shared responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of bank reconciliations
* Accounts Receivable for Western Suburbs (Ncle) Leagues Club
* Daily internal control procedures around cash, petty cash and vouchers
* Controls around EFT payment authorisations
* Reconcile payments across our hotels
* Assistance with Accounts Payable for multiple entities
* Process general ledger journal entries
* Provide leave coverage across the Finance team
* Provide support as required to the Finance manager
About you
With a basic understanding in accounting, you will be passionate about numbers, organised, proactive, and thrive in a detail orientated environment. Additionally, you will have:
* Be studying towards a qualification
* Understanding of general accounting procedures
* The ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Intermediate level excel knowledge
* Strong communication skills
* The ability to work independently and problem solve
