About this Position:
We have an exciting opportunity for multiple Construction Workers to join our Roads team. The primary function of the Construction Worker role is to assist in road construction and maintenance by performing a range of skilled manual tasks, operating small plant and equipment, and handling various types of rollers. This role is critical in building and maintaining the infrastructure that connects communities.

What we trust you to deliver:
* Perform skilled manual tasks, including concreting, pipe laying, and general road maintenance tasks
* Safely operate small plant, rollers, and medium rigid vehicles to support maintenance and construction activities
* Set up and manage traffic control around worksites to ensure safety and efficiency
* Follow Work Health and Safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
* Use Council systems to manage tasks and updates effectively
What you will need to be successful:
* A current Class C drivers licence
* White Card
* Traffic Controller Ticket (TCR) and/or Light Rigid Driver's Licence
* Be accepting of new ideas and embrace change
* Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
* Flexible and adaptable with a drive for improvement and learning
* A passion for Lismore and personal values that align with Lismore City Council's Values
Full position description:
Employment conditions: Attractive wages and conditions, including a 76-hour fortnight with an RDO, plus on-call and overtime opportunities.
Salary: starts at $60,150
