About The Design Team
The Design team which sits within the Marketing function plays a central role in shaping how Gilbert + Tobin shows up in the market. We partner closely with practice groups and firm leadership to deliver campaigns, thought leadership, digital content, events and brand initiatives that reflect who we are – purposeful, confident and clear.
Our Design function is integral to this work. We translate complex legal and commercial ideas into compelling visual communications across digital and print channels. We are collaborative, curious and committed to continuous improvement, including the responsible use of emerging technologies such as AI assisted design tools.
About The Role
As a Designer, you will create engaging visual assets that strengthen our brand and support strategic marketing initiatives. You will work across social media, digital campaigns, events, presentations, thought leadership and internal communications.
You will:
Design high-quality assets across print and digital platforms
Develop infographics and diagrams that clearly communicate complex information
Create and edit multimedia content including motion graphics and video
Set up and operate photography equipment for staff portraits and marketing content
Apply and evolve the Gilbert + Tobin brand consistently and confidently
Use AI-powered tools to support ideation, layout exploration and production efficiencies while maintaining ethical and confidentiality standards
Manage multiple projects from brief through to delivery, ensuring timelines and stakeholder expectations are met
Maintain digital asset libraries and production files
You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Digital, Business Development and practice teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality visual outcomes.
About You
You are a creative and commercially aware designer who enjoys working in a professional services environment. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and take pride in delivering work that is both visually strong and strategically aligned.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience as an in-house designer, ideally within corporate, professional services or B2B environments
Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or Visual Communications, or equivalent practical experience
Advanced capability in using Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere, as well as strong capability in Word and PowerPoint
Experience designing across print and digital channels
An understanding of WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
