What is the opportunity?
Thomas Borthwick & Sons is seeking full-time Electrical Engineering Technicians capable of working rotating Monday – Friday shifts and dedicated to completing electrical maintenance to applicable standards.
KEY DUTIES
· Assemble and wire electrical panels and equipment according to drawings and instructions.
· Carry out functional testing and checks on completed equipment.
· Identify electrical faults using appropriate test equipment.
· Assist electricians with changes, upgrades and improvements to existing designs.
· Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, WHS requirements and company procedures.
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documents.
· Complete job records, test sheets and service reports as required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 3 years' experience in an electrical technician role in a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment (essential)..
· Experience in electrical assembly, testing, fault‑finding and repair of industrial or heavy‑duty equipment.
· Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documentation.
· Competent use of electrical test and measuring instruments.
· Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
