Job Description
Your role as a Junior Retail Store Designer will see you working within one of the most successful retail organizations in the country! Reporting to the Retail Design Manager, you will be responsible for providing store design/ArchiCAD support for all new and refit projects of our JB Hi-Fi stores in Australia and New Zealand. As part of the Retail design team, this will see you partnering closely with a diverse range of internal support teams and external design resources to support design requirements.
1. Design
* Provide design/ArchiCAD support to the Retail Design Team, Development team, and Merchandise Services.
* Produce detailed Store, Merchandise, and Back of House layouts.
* Space Planning instore and Back of House.
* Ensure all stores are designed to relevant building codes.
* Work collaboratively with Merchandise Services to ensure product ranges and layouts comply with the latest company initiatives.
* Set up and maintain a detailed database for instore and BOH racking componentry and fit-out specifications.
* Ability to participate and contribute in a team environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be self-motivated, energetic, and proactive.
* Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
* Relevant certificate of Building Design or Tertiary based qualification.
* 3+ years retail experience.
* 3+ years of experience in complex projects and interacting with cross-functional teams.
* Competent in CAD, Preferably ArchiCAD.
* 3D Rendering experience recommended.
* Experience in space planning and retail design.
