Our services include Community Access, Capacity/Skill Building and self-care for all needs in and out of the home.
* About the Position:
You will provide individual support to seniors and people with a disability both in their homes and in the community using an individualised and person-centered approach.
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, responsive, resourceful and with the ability to create strong professional relationships. They will also utilise a tailored support strategy focused on individual needs towards assisting our participants to reach their goals.
The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit team and will need to embrace and model the values of the organisation.
* Role description:
Main Activities
* Helping aged and disabled persons during daily activities.
* Provide clients with community access and assistance with their mobility.
* Support participants to engage with others in the community through family, friends and group activities.
* Responsible for meal preparation in home and help with cooking and cleaning up.
* Perform house cleaning, laundry and gardening.
* Provide support with self-care including personal hygiene and dressing.
* Provide participants with companionship, friendship and emotional support.
* Help participants with any shopping and run errands.
Other responsibilities
* Report to manager and team leader on client special needs or developments.
* Attend team meetings and staff training programs.
Requirements:
* 2 years work experience in Aged or Disability Care.
* Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,990.00 per year
