Job Description:
As a skilled Bender/Press Brake Operator, you will play a vital role in our sheet metal manufacturing process. Your primary responsibility will be operating and programming press brake machines to produce accurate, high-quality sheet metal components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities:
· Set up, operate, and program press brake machines to bend, fold, and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
· Read and interpret technical drawings and production orders.
· Select appropriate tooling and set up the press brake for each job.
· Input programs and adjust machine parameters using the press brake controller.
· Monitor machine operations to ensure the quality and accuracy of produced parts.
· Inspect finished products to verify conformance with specifications.
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of press brake machines.
· Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth production flow and meet project deadlines.
· Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area.
Requirements:
· Minimum five years of experience as a Press Brake Operator in the sheet metal industry.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
· Strong knowledge of press brake machine setup, operation, and programming.
· Ability to program and adjust press brake machines using the controller interface.
· Basic CAD training and familiarity with CAD software.
· Excellent mathematical skills and understanding of measurements and dimensions.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
· Ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
