Qualifications & experience
* Previous medical reception or dental reception experience (either- essential)
* Previous experience with using Genie or Gentu software (preferred, but not essential)
* Previous reception and administration experience (essential)
* Proficient with use of computers and technology including Microsoft Office and Apple software (essential)
* Valid Working With Children Check and National Police Check (essential)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to show initiative and work in a close team environment
* Well organised, reliable, efficient, good time management skills
* Professional, approachable and friendly manner
* Ability to handle working in a fast paced environment
Tasks & responsibilities
* General reception duties including answering the phone, scheduling and confirming appointments, greeting patients, handling patient and referrer enquires, scanning and filing documents, maintaining the running of the office
* Appointment and operation scheduling
* Liaising with patients, hospital staff, anaesthetists, referrers, using written and verbal communication
* Invoicing and receipting (Medicare, DVA, TAC, Work Cover, Private Health Funds), creating quotes and invoices, collect and process payments (cash and EFTPOS), reconcile all payments at the end of each day
* Maintaining and managing patient records, obtaining patient referrals or external medical reports as required
* Typing of medical reports and letters from dictation
