Role Description
Jac's Place is seeking a Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner for a contract hybrid role based in Morningside, Brisbane, QLD, with opportunities for remote work. The Practitioner will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing behaviour support plans, conducting functional behaviour assessments, and providing training and guidance to support teams and stakeholders. The role involves direct engagement with Participants and their Support Communities to promote positive behavioural outcomes and align support services with individualised needs. Timely documentation, plan reviews, and reporting are integral parts of this position. The Practitioner is expected to work both independently and collaboratively to uphold the highest standards of care. A practitioner wanting to expand on the already available hours will have full scope to grow this customer base and negotiate incentive rates with all additional growth they have contributed towards. This would be great for someone with Entreprenneurial talent, or likewise someone who is satisfied with fewer hours per week working the same customer base.
Qualifications
* Experience in Behaviour Support development, including Behavior Support Plans and Functional Behaviour Assessments
* Proficiency in tailoring interventions to meet individual needs and a strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks
* Experience working with Restrictive Practices, building plans and lodgements through regulatory bodies as well as implementing with the Support network.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with Participants, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
* Capacity to provide training, coaching, and support to team members
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation
* Relevant qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a similar discipline required
* Knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) practices is highly regarded
* Driver's license and willingness to travel locally, as needed
