About the Role:
The successful candidate will manage consumer money and property within specific guidelines. This involves ensuring internal control systems meet audit requirements, relevant legislation, and regulations.
A typical day includes end of month procedures, accruals, reconciliations, receipting, refunds, management, and production of reports.
* Promote activities to increase awareness of revenue processes and financial accounting in relation to patient fees and charges, sundry debtors, and trust funds.
* Provide guidance and training to team members to achieve work unit objectives and develop effective administrative systems.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
* Sound knowledge of accounting policies, practices, and legislative requirements.
* Well-developed computer skills for spreadsheeting, word processing, and database applications.
* High-level communication skills with ability to negotiate and consult with clients, staff, and external organizations.
