Based in Melbourne's outer east, you will have the opportunity to assist in the growth and development of Guardian Injury Law. We are a dynamic team who love what we do. We take pride in being down to earth and caring.

ABOUT THE WORK WE DO

Guardian Injury Law assists clients who have been injured at work, injured in motor vehicle accidents, injured in a public place, suffered childhood abuse and/or have total permanent disability claims (TPD) with their superannuation funds.

We're also paving the way in the COVID vaccine injury space, Guardian Injury Law is at the forefront of this emerging area of law.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

* Administrative support to the solicitor and clients.

* Draft court documents, prepare/compile briefs, letters and correspondence.

* Diary, email and task management.

* Arrange meetings and appointments.

* Liaise with clients, law firms, barristers, court staff, insurers, doctors and other third parties.

* Maintain billing and invoicing systems.

* General file management and work with lawyers to advance files and achieve optimal file velocity.

* Develop, refine and maintain practice management systems and processes.

* Monitor critical dates to ensure deadlines are met.

* Handle telephone, general enquiries and requests from clients.

* Maintain data records and generate reports.

* Open and close files.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3 years' previous experience in a similar role/industry.

Skills

* Empathetic, confident and personable with a genuine interest in Personal Injury Law.

* Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

* High level of professionalism, exceptional client service skills and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with appropriate care.

* Superior organisational and task management skills, ability to manage conflicting priorities and respond to rapidly changing needs of a fast-paced practice.

* Ability to confidently and professionally communicate with clients, referrers, health professionals, Courts, barristers, lawyers and Government agencies.

* Technology-savvy and proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

* Experience in Smokeball or other legal practice management software.

* Experience with any legal practice management software is acceptable, with Smokeball experience being suitable.

* Ability to show initiative and is able to be proactive within the role.

* An interest in contributing to the development, maintenance and refining of systems and processes within the practice.

PERFORMANCE GOALS

* Playing an integral part of the growth and development of Guardian Injury Law.

* Attending to tasks on time with utmost professionalism.

* Meeting key deadlines.

* Developing matter management systems to ensure the smooth running of matters with an aim to achieve optimal file velocity.

* Undertaking business development including developing key referral sources.

* Assist in the ongoing marketing of Guardian Injury Law.
