Job Title: Kitchen Staff Member
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our kitchen team as a part-time staff member.
Job Description:
As a part-time commercial kitchen hand, you will be responsible for assisting with daily kitchen duties, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, equipment, and surfaces. You will also be required to lift, move, and store floor mats, keeping work areas clean and safe.
You will assist with basic food preparation, washing, peeling, chopping (knife skills ideal), correctly handling and storing stock across fridges, freezers, and cool rooms. Additionally, you will safely dispose of kitchen waste and store equipment in designated areas.
Responsibilities include retrieving items for chefs and assisting with simple cooking, reheating, plating, and serving. You will operate commercial kitchen appliances safely and efficiently, while performing general kitchen duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* F ood Safety Handling Certificate (must provide proof)
* Previous experience in a commercial-grade kitchen (essential)
* Ability to follow strict hygiene and safety procedures
* Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
* Reliable car and ability to attend all rostered shifts
