The Role
The role of an Enrolled Nurse in aged care provides essential nursing support, delivering high-quality care to elderly residents while assisting with daily activities and health management.
This involves working closely with the healthcare team to ensure residents' comfort, safety, and well-being, while following care plans and ensuring best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Implements those aspects of the nursing care plan delegated by the registered nurse
* Contributes to the nursing assessment of individuals and groups
* Assists in the evaluation of progress toward expected outcomes
* Assists in protecting the rights of older persons
* Demonstrates successful interpersonal skills in relating to Residents, Families, Staff and other Health Professionals
* Develop effective communication, team building and accountability strategies at assist in leading, motivating, supporting and managing the team
Requirements
* Diploma in Enrolled Nursing
* Registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
* NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
* Class C driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
* Willing to attend a compulsory 2-day induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
* Experience working within Aged Care (Desirable)
