Remuneration Package
Base salary of $149,059.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Total remuneration package valued at $168,946.00.
Position Information
Carlingford High School, (enrolment 1920 students, including 84% from a non-English speaking background) is a comprehensive, co-educational school, with a strong commitment to and expectation of excellence. The delivery of quality literacy programs, the promotion of student well-being, and the ongoing development of high-quality teaching and learning programs are key strategic directions. Specific Selection Criteria
* Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach English 7-10 and English 11-12. Willingness and capacity to teach Extension 1 and 2.
* Demonstrated high-level educational leadership skills with the proven capacity to establish, lead and co-manage a diverse English faculty, cultivating a collaborative and high performing team environment to drive excellence in teaching and learning for students from Years 7 to 12.
* Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with demonstrated capacity to effectively coordinate faculty systems and processes, lead the implementation of the new Stage 6 syllabuses, build the capacity of staff and generate a shared vision of excellence that ensures measurable improvement in student learning outcomes.
* A highly visible and approachable leader with the proven capacity to be a collaborative and dynamic member of the executive team to lead whole‐school continuous improvement, including explicit teaching and literacy instruction in a comprehensive, high‐performing high school.
General Selection Criteria
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
* Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
* Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
