Pirate Life Brewing was founded in 2014 on a five-day journey across the Nullarbor Plain. We landed in Adelaide, established a brewery, and spent the next seven years building a brand. In that time, we've gone from three founders to a crew of over one hundred, built four venues across Australia, and cemented ourselves as one of the country's most recognisable craft breweries and brands.

The Role
We are looking for a passionate, experienced Head of Finance to lead our Finance function. This role will be pivotal in providing the leadership teams with financial reports, guidance & tools to assist in decision making and will develop and execute a strategy that aligns with the Pirate Life vision and purpose, tied into short-term and long-term goals for the business.
A snapshot of responsibilities include:
* Deliver annual budgets for 3 revenue streams of the business, as well as aiding the development of sub budgets across various departments.
* Monthly & quarterly forecasts per required deadlines set by parent company.
* Perform month & year end closing transactions and reporting.
* Perform Financial Analysis/modelling/simulations for business scenarios, as requested.
* Continuously seek improved ways of working for the finance function as well as other areas of the business
* Support the wider business, Fire & Earth Finance team and group accounting & taxation.
* Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, the fixed asset register and payroll
What You've Got
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or finance
* Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
* Experience in a senior finance role within a FMCG business highly desirable
* Previous experience in team management.
* Demonstrated experience in financial operations.
* Experience working with platforms such as Xero and Lightyear
* Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* High attention to detail and strong numerical & literacy skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
