CSSD Manager
Location: Canberra, ACT
Employment Type: Full-time permanent role
Salary: $95-$105k + super & salary packaging
The role:
This is a leadership role managing a busy, modern CSSD supporting 8 operating theatres and endoscopy. We're looking for an experienced CSSD professional ready to lead teams, drive standards and support surgical services.
You'll oversee daily CSSD operations, ensuring safe and compliant processing of reusable medical devices in line with AS5369:2023. Working closely with the perioperative services manager. you will lead staff, manage workflows, support theatre schedules and maintain the highest sterilisation standards
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support the CSSD team
* Ensure compliance with AS 5369:2023 and infection control standards
* Manage rostering, staffing, audits, reporting, documentation and GAP analysis
* Coordinate stock control, equipment maintenance and ordering
* Collaborate with theatre and clinical teams to support surgical schedules
* Assist with budget and cost centre management alongside the Perioperative Manager
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services (or relevant clinical background)
* Leadership experience in CSSD or healthcare environments
* Experience with data analysis, reporting and compliance
* Strong knowledge of AS 5369:2023, including audit and GAP analysis
* Understanding of budget management
Desirable:
* Tertiary qualification in management
* Experience achieving departmental KPIs
