Long-term role
A busy, loving family in Redfern is looking for an experienced, reliable and engaging nanny to care for their daughter (Aged 4 yrs old). This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong connections with children and becoming part of a family's routine for years to come.
Days & Hours
* Thursday: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
* Friday: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
* Saturday: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm (alternate Saturdays)
Ideal Nanny
The family is seeking someone who is:
* Warm, patient and kind
* Active and genuinely enjoys engaging with children
* Reliable and organised
* Interested in growing with the family over several years
Responsibilities
* Collecting the child from preschool
* Preparing and offering snacks (cut fruit, simple food prep)
* Engaging the child in fun, age-appropriate activities such as:
* Park visits
* Swimming
* Arts and crafts
* Reading and imaginative play
* Providing calm, attentive care during evening routines on Saturday nights
* Light household tasks related to the child, including:
* Tidying kitchen and play areas after use
* Assisting with the child's laundry occasionally
* Small errands when needed (e.g. grabbing milk)
Requirements
* 3 + years working in childcare or as a nanny
* Childcare qualifications (Preferred)
* Working with Children's Check
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Experience caring for children of a similar age
* Comfortable committing to a long-term role
* Swimming ability preferred (The child loves swimming)
* Full Drivers licence and clean driving record (Own car is preferred) – No driving required initially, but swimming lessons and other activities may move to weekday afternoons in the future
* Non Smoker
