We’re looking for a Communications Coordinator to join YFS - a dynamic role supporting the development and implementation of YFS’ marketing strategies with a focus on social media, content creation, media and digital communication. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in enhancing YFS' brand presence and connecting with diverse audiences across Logan and beyond.
This is a part-time three days a week opportunity, but we’re open to flexibility for the right applicant.

* Pay range: $110,462 to $112,902 a year (pro rata) based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available
We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Communications Coordinator to develop engaging content, manage social media, support marketing campaigns, and drive audience engagement across digital and print platforms. This role is integral in sharing YFS’ impactful work and fostering community support for our mission.
In this role you will:
* Content creation and copywriting: Drafting and editing public-facing and internal materials, including annual reports, website, newsletters, brochures, and campaigns. Develop copy for client stories, B2B materials, and advocacy letters to ensure alignment with YFS’ tone of voice and audience needs.
* Social media and digital marketing: Manage YFS’ social media presence, including content planning, audience engagement, and response management, while contributing to digital strategies to boost brand awareness. Monitor and report on digital performance to optimise reach and engagement.
* Media support: Support YFS media activity through drafting media releases, background briefs and talking points, and coordinating media requests to strengthen the organisation’s reputation.
* Marketing coordination: Support supplier relationships, inventory management, and event coordination needs. Maintain marketing assets and assist with managing the marketing inbox and other promotional activities.
About you
Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related role description available from the link below, ideally, you’ll bring:
* Strong copywriting and editing skills: Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for diverse audiences across multiple platforms.
* Social media expertise: Proven experience managing social media channels, with a strong understanding of best practice for audience growth and engagement.
* Digital content creation: Working knowledge of content management systems (such as WordPress), basic design tools (e.g. Canva, InDesign or Illustrator), and SEO principles.
* Project management skills: Strong organisational skills, with experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
* Sector experience: Experience working in the social or community services sector is highly desirable.
* Values‑aligned and purpose‑driven: A genuine interest in meaningful, impact‑driven work, with values that align with YFS and a commitment to contributing to positive social change.
