HPE Teaching role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health and Physical Education (HPE) teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate HPE programs across primary and secondary year levels, aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
This PE offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the holistic development of students and promote lifelong physical activity and well-being.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and implement HPE programs that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
* Deliver high-quality instruction in physical education, health education, and sport.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
* Participate in co-curricular activities, including sports events and school carnivals.
* Contribute to the school's commitment to Christian values and ethos.
Essential criteria
* Bachelor of Education (Physical Education) or equivalent qualification.
* Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or eligibility for registration.
* Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum for Health and Physical Education.
* Experience in teaching HPE across primary and secondary year levels.
* Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the school.
Desirable criteria
* Experience in coaching or coordinating school sports teams.
* Knowledge of current trends and best practices in HPE education.
* First Aid and CPR certification.
