Our client is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Your new role
Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will oversee the full payroll lifecycle across multiple pay frequencies and a sizeable workforce. This role requires strong technical capability, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to contribute to process enhancement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing complete payroll processing for weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles
* Ensuring payroll outputs meet legislative and organisational requirements
* Preparing a range of payroll reports, reconciliations and supporting finance activities
* Maintaining accurate employee data, leave balances, superannuation and deductions
* Reviewing, documenting, and refining payroll procedures to improve efficiency
* Providing guidance and support to less experienced payroll staff
* Partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure consistent service delivery
What you'll need to succeed
* 5+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience
* Experience working within a large or complex organisation
* Proven capability to document, refine, and improve payroll processes
* Strong background managing high-volume pay cycles across multiple frequencies
* Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations, Pivot Tables and VBA
* Solid understanding of leave, superannuation, and payroll compliance
* Ability to coach and support junior staff, fostering collaboration and capability uplift
