About the Role
Two Project Engineer Opportunities Available
As a Project Engineer at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will be responsible for delivering capital, operational improvement, and major maintenance projects within your area of responsibility. We are currently recruiting for two roles, offering the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of key infrastructure and asset initiatives across our operations.
You will manage projects through the full lifecycle, from development and scoping to execution and commissioning, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, and within budget. Key deliverables include monitoring and coordinating capital projects during execution, facilitating ongoing capital project development, and developing a strong understanding of the operational aspects of the cane supply system to support improved performance, reliability, and long‐term asset capability. This role is suited to engineers capable of managing larger or multiple concurrent projects while working collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and contractors to deliver practical, sustainable outcomes aligned with business objectives.
These positions may be based in the Townsville Office, although other Wilmar sites will also be considered. Role Responsibilities
* Monitor and coordinate capital projects during execution, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.
* Liaise daily with operations, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers to plan works and minimise production impacts.
* Review technical designs, scopes of work, and contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with engineering standards and site requirements.
* Track project budgets, forecasts, procurement activities, and progress reporting, escalating risks or variances as required.
* Develop and refine future capital project scopes while building a strong understanding of the cane supply system to support continuous improvement initiatives.
About you

* Civil Engineer with experience in roadworks, bridge construction, or similar projects.
