Position Summary
With some exciting projects in the pipeline now and for 2026, the opportunity exists for both an experience Asphalt Foreman to join our team.
Our crews require experienced, knowledgeable asphalt leaders to work with our operational and project team, to ensure efficient controls, scheduling, programming and the daily responsibilities associated with running a road surfacing crew.
About You
* Proven previous experience in all aspects of running an asphalt project including knowledge of the contract scope; understanding progress, productivity and performance measurements; leadership in running a crew.
* Excellent knowledge in the road maintenance and surfacing industry.
* Excellent communication & leadership qualities, with the ability to lead and drive a successful paving crew.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Vic Roads pavement specifications.
* Strong understanding of the relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations and legislative requirements as applied to the road Industry.
* Thorough record keeping and data collection skill, e.g., with completion of daily job-sheets, toolboxes, ITPs and any other QA job specific documentation.
* Ability to read and understand plans and delivery to scope.
* Ability to assist with scoping and pre‐commencement planning and measuring for projects.
* Successful track record with planning, organising and time management.
* Ability to guide and mentor, while enabling upskilling and specific training of crew members.
* Strong problem‐solving skills with the ability to maintain a forward thinking & innovative approach to completing projects.
* Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and night shifts.
