My client is a growing residential home builder focused on delivering a streamlined and consistent product. They operate with a team of 12 direct employees, supported by offshore teams across estimating and drafting. The business has a strong pipeline of work and consistent growth, supporting stable revenue. Their core focus remains on the investment market, while strategically expanding into the First Home Buyer segment through community sales channels, maintaining a simple and efficient product offering.
The Role
The Construction Administrator reports directly to the Head of Construction Operations. This is a newly created role where you will play a key part in building and refining the scheduling function. You will contribute to the development of systems and processes that support construction delivery. You will also provide administrative support as required across both pre-construction and construction functions.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Scheduling & Coordination
* Own and manage centralised trade and supplier scheduling across all active projects using Hyphen Homefront
* Coordinate sequencing, resource allocation and workflow to align with construction timelines
* Act as the key link between site teams, trades and internal departments to ensure efficient coordination
Project Coordination & Workflow Management
* Work closely with Site Supervisors to track job progress and align scheduling with site requirements
* Coordinate weekly progress reporting and collaborate with internal teams to support timely client updates
* Support the resolution of defects and warranty items
Documentation, Systems & Compliance
* Prepare and complete Construction Release Packs and Handover Packs
* Set up new projects within HazardCo with Site Supervisors
* Maintain accurate records across scheduling, QA, defects and compliance
Operational Support & Process Improvement
* Support procurement coordination and estimating handovers
* Contribute to the development and improvement of construction workflows, systems and manuals
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, structure and communication across projects
About You
* Minimum 5+ years' experience working for a homebuilder/subcontractor or supplier as a Construction Administrator, Scheduler, Coordinator or similar role.
* Understanding of the construction sequencing and workflow
* Confident coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders
* Proactive, driven and motivated to contribute to building new systems and workflows
* Software experience - Hyphen Homefront (ideal not essential, training available)
