We have an exceptional opportunity for a customer focused Support Engineer to join our National Operations Centre (NOC). The NOC provides clients with remote monitoring services and direct access to a dedicated control system expert to talk through issues or resolve faults remotely.

As a NOC Support Engineer at SAGE, you will be responsible for assisting the delivery and support of complex control systems and equipment. You will be required to plan and organise their time effectively to complete assigned works and provide technical support to both internal and external customers, when escalation events occur.

In this role you will:

* Apply creativity and resourcefulness to resolving problems that arise from engineering and support tasks and apply concepts and strategies that may require non-traditional methods to achieve overall results.
* Provide high-quality customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Implement safety plans and apply a safety-first approach to every aspect of support delivery.
* Provide the first response and/or support the resolution for all new and urgent works as required.
* Identify and mitigate technical risk, escalating high risk items to senior team members and management.
* Manage the quality of technical deliverables.
* Mentor and support the technical development of Automation Technicians.
* Accurately document support and maintenance records and ensure they are kept up to date.

Skills & Experience:

* Appropriate engineering qualification plus a minimum of 5 years automation experience as a Technician working with SCADA, PLC and Industrial Networks, including Siemens and Citect in particular.
* Demonstrable knowledge of good engineering practices and principles.
* Strong communications skills with the ability to convey complex situations both verbally and in writing.
