**The role**
The position is accountable for managing the Delivery Leads, PM, and BA practices. You are a team player, working as one team, strong people and communication skills, a problem solver, practical and pragmatic.
The Delivery Practice Lead will work to provide leadership, oversight, and guidance to members of the Delivery Practice, to enable them to successfully deliver technology and process change with respect to programs and projects defined in the Service Futures forward work program.
In addition, the role will focus on enabling and coordinating practice capability uplift through a structured program of work for both the PM and BA practices equally. You will work with practitioners from PM and BA capability to create/maintain their own identities while creating an inclusive delivery practice.
**What will I be doing?**
- Delivery Lead of technology program and project management as well as Business analysis services
- Lead and manage the Delivery practice, including performance management and reviews, staff support, team leadership, etc - adjusted as appropriate for permanent and contract members of the team
- Manage stakeholders and service providers and provide leadership to Delivery Practice team members, to achieve agreed goals and outcomes
- Manage and oversee the development of processes, as necessary, to support the delivery of the PM and BA Practice promise and broader capability uplift within the Core Practices teams and Service Futures Group
- Negotiate an appropriate level of Delivery Practice team resources to support the Service Futures program of work and recruit or adjust staffing levels accordingly
- Work with relevant senior practitioners to lead practice capability uplift activity in accordance with the practice uplift plan aligned with relevant methodologies
- Enthusiastic and passionate about what you do, strong stakeholder skills, you keep your finger on the pulse when negotiating with key stakeholders to agree on a change, implementation, and adoption of the program
- Work closely with the ICT S&P Leadership team and Neighbourhoods to understand resourcing needs, supply and manage delivery practitioners as well as attain performance feedback from practitioners
- Work closely with the CPMO team to establish and implement tailored governance processes for portfolio and delivering management as well as resource management
- Establish a center of expertise (Guilds) for portfolio & project management and Business Analysts
- Prepare and present monthly reports utilising data to tell the story and drive change
- Participate in Service Futures Extended Leadership Team meetings, People Leader sessions, and associated activities
**About You**
- Experience negotiating large commercial contracts, including legal exposure
- Experience in implementing project management frameworks and methodology
- Experience in program/project management, leading and managing teams
- Executive level communication experience, including producing project governance, finance, and risk reports
- Mentoring and training project staff
- Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills in dealing with key stakeholders including senior management, customers, consultants, contractors, regulators, and committees
- Experience in developing strategies, analysis, and efficiency improvements.
