About This Opportunity
We have multiple opportunities available to support UQ's diverse Museum Studies as an Associate Lecturer. As a teaching-focused academic, your responsibilities will include:
* Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, assess students, and provide academic counselling.
* Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, mentor colleagues, participate in committees, and uphold university values.

About The School Of Social Science
The School is located in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Science and is renowned for its research focus and producing globally engaged graduates. It offers programs in anthropology, archaeology, criminology, sociology, and interdisciplinary fields like museum studies. The school is home to over 35 academic staff, and actively engages in societal research challenges across various clusters. It also houses the UQ Anthropology Museum, one of the largest collections of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artifacts worldwide.
About You
Applicants should possess a PhD or near completion in Museum Studies or a related discipline, and demonstrate:
* Knowledge in Museum Studies or related fields.
* Effective teaching skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including online teaching.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Proficiency with online teaching platforms such as Blackboard.
Note: This is a fixed-term role based in Brisbane; applications from interstate or international candidates are not accepted. You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the contract.
