We're working with a specialist super fund to find a Senior Risk Partner who can play a key role in uplifting risk maturity, strengthening frameworks, and supporting great outcomes for members.
This is a broad, hands-on role where you'll get exposure to all areas of risk. You'll work closely with the CRO and the wider leadership team, providing both guidance and constructive challenge, and helping the business embed strong, practical risk practices.
Main focus areas:
* Supporting the risk maturity uplift program - assist in delivering initiatives, documenting processes, and helping embed improvements across the risk framework
* Assisting with risk appetite, KRIs and tolerance settings - help maintain monitoring processes, prepare reports, and provide input to ensure meaningful metrics and insights
* Supporting risk and control frameworks - help document, assess, monitor, and test controls
* Preparing materials for the Executive Risk Committee - collate data, draft dashboards, and help summarise key insights for executives and the Board
* Partnering with Line 1 to provide risk guidance - support risk reviews, document findings, and assist in embedding good practices across projects and operations
* GRC system support - assist with system administration, user support, reporting, and workflow tasks
* Supporting financial crime risk activities - help maintain policies, monitor compliance, and assist with transaction monitoring or reporting
* Internal audit support - assist in developing audit documentation, coordinating evidence collection, and tracking remediation actions
* Risk culture and training initiatives - help coordinate surveys, training sessions, and communications to embed a strong risk culture
* Supporting resilience and service provider oversight - assist with documenting risk assessments, monitoring third-party controls, and contributing to crisis or continuity exercises
* Monitoring and reporting - help collate, analyse, and summarise risk data for management reporting and insight generation
The ideal background:
* Risk management experience, ideally with exposure to superannuation, financial services, or a highly regulated sector
* Strong technical knowledge across risk frameworks, controls, incident management and regulatory obligations (APRA/ASIC/AUSTRAC)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - able to translate risk into business terms and influence outcomes
* A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach - you can balance compliance with commerciality and member outcomes
* Organised and proactive - comfortable managing competing priorities and working both independently and collaboratively
What's on offer:
* A permanent, full-time role based in Melbourne (hybrid - 3 days in the office)
* A supportive, people-first culture with genuine flexibility
* Direct exposure to senior leaders
* Competitive salary package plus benefits
