Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth through the identification, development, and conversion of new business opportunities, while also expanding and strengthening key existing customer relationships.
This role will take a strategic, consultative approach to business development, working closely with internal stakeholders to align commercial opportunities with operational capability and long-term business objectives.
On a daily basis, the Business Development Manager will engage with customers and prospects, manage a qualified sales pipeline, and progress opportunities through to close.
On a weekly basis, the role will focus on account planning, market analysis, forecasting, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure solutions are commercially viable and effectively delivered.
On a monthly basis, the Business Development Manager will contribute to broader commercial strategy, reporting on performance, pipeline health, and market trends to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
* Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across targeted markets.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth.
* Manage the end-to-end sales process, from opportunity identification through to contract negotiation and close.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
* Provide accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and market insights to senior leadership.
* Represent the business professionally at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a senior business development or commercial role, with a demonstrated ability to drive growth through both new business acquisition and account expansion.
You will be commercially astute, relationship-driven, and comfortable operating autonomously while contributing to broader business strategy. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to navigate complex sales environments and long sales cycles.
Experience working in technical, industrial, infrastructure, or solutions-based environments will be highly regarded, though not essential.
