About the Opportunity
The WHS Advisor supports SafeWork SA's education and advisory function by helping businesses and workers understand and meet their work health and safety obligations. Reporting to the Team Leader, Advisory Services, the role works closely with PCBUs, industry groups and government stakeholders to improve safety outcomes and promote effective risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality, practical WHS advice and support to PCBUs, taking into account industry, size, complexity and risk.
* Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to encourage positive behaviour change and sustained commitment to safety.
* Deliver high‐quality advisory services, including advisory visits and providing education and guidance on effective safety systems.
* Deliver WHS presentations to stakeholders.
* Identify emerging WHS issues and trends and develop practical tools, resources and solutions.
* Support continuous improvement in service delivery, reduce red tape and promote efficient, customer‐focused education and advisory services.
* Manage records, report on activities and performance, and operate in line with legislative, policy and organisational requirements.
About SafeWork SA
SafeWork SA is a business unit within the Attorney‐General's Department responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety and state‐based industrial relations services across South Australia as a regulator. Our investigators and inspectors ensure standards are met and that appropriate action is taken when breaches of law are detected.
Special Conditions for Employment
* Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.

* Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
* Must hold a current Australian‐issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
