At Amicus, we believe in doing business differently. Since 2005, we’ve been shaping inspiring workplaces while building a people-first culture grounded in trust, flexibility, and shared growth. Our team is made up of curious, thoughtful individuals who care about each other, our clients, and our community. We work flexibly (hello 9-day fortnight!) and believe that outcomes matter more than hours – so whether you’re taking the midday walk, doing the school run, or working from home, you’re trusted to own your work and deliver with care. If you’re looking for a role where you can bring your whole self, contribute meaningfully, and be supported to keep learning and growing – we’d love to meet you.
About the Role
We are seeking a grounded and highly capable Executive Assistant / Administrative Assistant (EA/AA) to partner closely with our Managing Director. This is a unique opportunity to support a purpose-driven and values-led leader while playing a key role in shaping the rhythm and culture of our organisation.
This role requires more than exceptional coordination skills—it calls for a thoughtful, service-oriented professional who is attuned to the needs of others and committed to creating a positive, inclusive experience for those around them. You will be a trusted advisor—responsible not only for managing schedules and logistics, but also for aligning with the MD’s communication style, priorities, and pace. You bring a high level of discretion and a calm, confident presence to every interaction.
With a strong sense of awareness, you’ll support a team that values connection, equity, and impact. Whether you’re coordinating leadership offsites, crafting polished, on-brand presentations, or supporting the greater team, you will play a meaningful part in driving a culture that leads with empathy, pursues excellence and delivers with purpose.
Who You Are
• You’re ambitious and proactive, always looking for better ways to get things done
• You respect the MD’s voice and values, and take care to reflect them in how you engage
• You’re service-minded and happy to roll your sleeves up, no matter the task
• You care about community, inclusivity and creating a positive experience for others
• You bring emotional intelligence, calm confidence and unshakeable reliability
• You’re naturally organised, solutions-focused and driven to make an impact
A Snapshot of Your Day-to-Day
• Managing the MD’s calendar, inbox, travel and LinkedIn activity
• Coordinating leadership offsites, board meetings and internal communication rhythms
• Preparing and formatting key documents and board packs with polish and precision
• Supporting onboarding and internal initiatives that foster a great team experience
• Designing presentation decks and workshop tools (using Mural, Canva, or PowerPoint)
• Supporting light office logistics (e.g. travel platform, tech troubleshooting, lunch orders)
Why You’ll Love Working Here
• 9-day fortnight – every second Friday is yours to recharge
• Hybrid work – 2 days in the office, the rest is your call
• Purpose-led business – we create positive impact for all Australians, including First Australians
• Flexibility – we’re goals-focused, not clock-watchers
• Celebration culture – we shout out great work and celebrate milestones
• Extra leave perks – birthday leave + 1 extra day off per year, up to your fifth anniversary
• Paid parental leave – support to focus on what matters most
What Might Not Work for You
• We don’t micromanage – we trust our people to own their work
• We pitch in across the board – from strategy to stacking the dishwasher
• Our hiring process is personal and detailed – we dig into real experience and check references
What You Bring
• 5+ years in a high-level EA role, preferably in professional services
• Experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Strong tech skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Canva)
• Experience with document review, travel coordination, and internal communications
• Bonus points for experience with Mural, Monday, and travel booking platforms
Key Strengths
• Outstanding time, calendar, and email management
• Strong formatting, document design, and detail orientation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High discretion, initiative, and accountability
• A calm, can-do approach to competing priorities and people engagement
