As the Data Governance Lead, you'll work across departments to define and deliver the organisation's data strategy. You'll champion best practices in data governance, develop robust policies and procedures, and ensure data is accessible, accurate, and aligned with compliance standards. Champion organisational understanding of data's role and value Define and implement data governance policies, procedures, and quality standards Monitor alignment to governance frameworks and legal compliance (e.g. Privacy Act) Collaborate with Security and Architecture teams to ensure governance is embedded in data solutions Promote best practices in dashboard and visualisation management Support leaders in developing meaningful reports and control systems Improve stewardship and metadata management processes Ensure large and complex data sets are usable, understandable, and well-governed Profile A successful Governance Analyst should have: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Skilled in Power BI, with strong visual design capabilities Exposure to Python, SQL, GIT, and XML Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g. MS Purview or equivalent) Strong understanding of metadata management, lineage, and data quality Familiarity with frameworks such as COBIT, ISO27001, GDPR, DMBOK, ISO 42001 Demonstrated ability to deliver commercial outcomes through data strategy Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, IT or related field Job Offer This organisation has been recognised as an Employer of Choice for two consecutive years and is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation.
