Job Title: Quality Systems Manager
We are seeking an exceptional Quality Systems Manager to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of driving quality excellence.
About the Role:
This position involves leading and inspiring our site to achieve continuous improvement in quality systems and deliver excellence across the board. Key responsibilities include:
* Lead and Inspire - Guide our Site by delivering continuous improvement in our quality systems and delivering excellence across the site.
* Own Compliance - Take charge of HACCP, CCPs/RCPs/QCPs, and all regulatory standards.
* Be Audit-Ready - Confidently host external audits from regulators and key customers, showcasing our strengths, coordinating all responses in a timely manner and monitoring these undertakings to implementation.
* Champion Programs - Drive the development of critical pre-requisite programs such as GMP, document control, change management, food security, and pest control.
* Optimise Systems - Work with Group Quality to lead the integration and streamlining of Food Management Systems into one powerful, seamless process in a new electronic platform.
* Hands-On Support - Provide coaching and guidance on non-conformances, document control, change management, and complaints management.
* Embed Food Safety Culture - Design, build and deliver engaging programs with cross-functional involvement that will engage all staff and improve the Food Safety Culture at site, thus delivering better quality outcomes.
* Report & Recommend - Prepare and present insightful reports on quality system performance, with clear corrective and preventative actions proposed as appropriate.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in food manufacturing and quality systems.
* Demonstrated leadership experience at a managerial level.
* Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Engineering or related field.
* Strong knowledge of food manufacturing and quality systems.
* UHT, Dairy Powder and/or drying experience and/ or knowledge of the Australian Dairy Regulatory framework would be highly beneficial.
* Proven capability to lead audits and drive a proactive food safety culture.
* Demonstrated ability to make risk-based decisions in the best interest of the business and our customers.
* A mindset for continuous improvement – always asking 'what's next?'
* Excellent communicator who can engage and influence at all levels.
* Organised, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-moving, changing environment.
