Systems Accountant Leader – Suncorp Group
Join Suncorp Group as a Systems Accountant Leader for a 12‐month contract. You'll guide a specialist team to optimise General Ledger (GL) interface postings and elevate data integrity across insurance registry systems.
What You'll Do
* Lead a team accountable for timely and accurate GL interface postings, troubleshoot data integrity issues and drive system enhancements.
* Develop business requirements, facilitate user acceptance testing and deliver training for system releases.
* Maintain Finance reference data tables and ensure the integrity of system interface mappings.
* Partner with Technology and Finance teams to resolve production problems and improve efficiency and quality of GL data.
* Support external advisors and auditors on finance system architecture, processes and upgrades.
* Drive a continuous improvement strategy, recommending changes to product systems and sub‐ledgers for optimal business outcomes.
What You'll Bring
* Extensive experience in financial accounting, reporting and Product Systems/GL Interface design.
* Proven ability to coach and mentor others, building technical knowledge and expertise within the team.
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships and resolve conflicts.
* Thorough working knowledge of Product System Interfaces, Reconciliation Automation and accounting principles.
* Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and a proactive approach to driving change and process improvements.
* Experience in insurance product systems (e.g. ClaimCentre) and delivering high‐quality results within short timeframes.
