Overview
We have a great ongoing opportunity for a Cook to be responsible for ensuring that the production and distribution of food service is maintained to appropriate standards in an efficient and effective manner for Wallaroo Hospital and Health Services.
In this role, you will be responsible for the ordering of non-impress food supplies, plating of meals, menu selections and ensuring that quality control of food production is maintained to an acceptable standard. You will directly responsible to the Services Supervisor on a day-to-day basis and ultimately responsible to the Facility Manager.
About You
We are seeking a candidate who:
* work well within a team environment under limited direction;
* are flexible in their approach to working in various settings and roster systems;
* has sound Interpersonal and communications skills;
* has the ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances;
* forms healthy working relationships with all levels of staff and provides assistance and cooperation when needed;
* has good time management skills;
* understands and uses discretion and maintains strict confidentiality;
* has experience in preparing and cooking bulk meals and meeting dietary requirements; and
* understands the importance of safe working conditions, food storage and correct food handling techniques.
Previous experience in the balance of menus desirable.
