Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team. Responsibilities include mine planning and design, ensuring compliance with safety and legislative requirements.
* Develop and implement medium to long term mine designs and schedules.
* Monitor production performance against plans.
* Establish relationships with stakeholders to maximise operational productivity and equipment utilisation.
Budgeting and forecasting responsibilities involve preparing and communicating site physicals for annual budget and monthly forecast processes.
* Provide detailed rolling forecasts and budgets for the operation.
Effective communication is key in this role, as you will be working closely with technical services, maintenance, and mine operations personnel.
* Assist and mentor other team members as required.
Safety and compliance are paramount in this position, requiring adherence to site health, safety, and management systems (SHMS) and relevant legislation.
* Actively report hazards and incidents.
Requirements: Experience in a similar role, ideally from within the resources sector. Significant site experience in a mine operation, preferably in an open-cut coal mine. Proven experience in mine scheduling and design, including tasks like rehabilitation design and haulage modelling. Competent user of Vulcan, Deswik, and Spry software. Commitment to safety and the environment.
