About the Role
This is a full-time, on‐site support role based across active construction sites in Melbourne.
The Building Associate position is a non‐licensed, support‐based role and does not carry the responsibilities of a registered builder or site supervisor.
All construction activities are undertaken under the direction of an appropriately licensed builder or appointed project manager, in accordance with Victorian building regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with on‐site coordination and monitoring of construction activities.
* Support day‐to‐day site operations including scheduling, sequencing, and progress tracking.
* Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to support accurate execution.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants as directed.
* Assist with organising material deliveries and labour coordination.
* Conduct routine site observations and report progress, issues, or risks to the licensed builder or project manager.
* Assist in implementing WHS procedures and report hazards or incidents in accordance with site requirements.
* Support preparation of site diaries, inspection records, and construction documentation.
* Participate in site meetings and provide updates as requested.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Diploma or higher qualification in Building and Construction (mandatory).
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a construction support, coordination, or site‐based role.
* Working knowledge of Australian construction processes and WHS requirements.
* Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and technical documents.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Current White Card.
* Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
