An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Administration team at Portland District Health.
You are responsible for being the point of contact for consumers and staff by providing customer service and administrative supports for Portland District Health (PDH). Administrative support may be required by various departments. These may include, but not limited to; Urgent Care, Acute & Sub-acute Ward, Theatre, Radiology, Reception (Main and Consulting Suite), Finance, Primary Care, District Nursing and Aged Care. You will provide quality customer service for clients, including answering telephone enquiries and performing reception duties, and provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the service.
About you:
A combination of relevant training and experience in customer service and/or administrative support deemed to be appropriate to the department.
Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks and competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work respectfully with those with mental health, substance addiction, or disability difficulties.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer service skills and an ability to effectively engage with a wide diversity of people
Good computer literacy, including ability to access and utilise organisational IT systems and emerging technologies which are relevant to the completion of clinical care.
Possession of a Certificate III Business (Administration) or equivalent qualification - desirable
Medical terminology - desirable

About us: Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:
